Holy week in bantayan island is very different from other places here in philippines specially during holy week because they have many traditions there like eating meat is allowed during holy week there. The pope ordered a papal issue for the exemption of the people in Bantayan to eat meat. the explanation of this is that most of the people their are fishermen and all year round they eat fish so they do not have to fast during holy week.
